We at the Freedom BLOC believe that real power in a democracy should belong to the people, not corporations and political insiders. Currently, crucial decisions impacting our lives are made by those disconnected from our daily realities. We envision a democracy driven by everyday individuals, especially those most affected by the challenges we face. This starts with questioning the traditional dominance of political parties in our elections.
Precinct Captains: The Foundation of Our Movement
Our Precinct Captains are more than just party representatives; they are vital agents of progressive change in Ohio. They connect the established political system with our communities, actively working to dismantle systemic injustices. Their presence is crucial to our mission of advancing fair policies and advocating for the dignity and rights of Black and poor Ohioans. Specifically, our County Precinct Captain mission focuses on building political power within the Black community.

By training and appointing passionate individuals, we ensure that underrepresented communities have a direct say in shaping local government. This strengthens civic participation, tackles deep-rooted inequalities, and establishes a lasting political foundation for long-term progress.
