​The Freedom BLOC/ROC has been a leading force in Ohio, building power and achieving social and racial economic justice. Facing economic hardship, environmental decline, and political division, our work is more critical than ever.
We believe that through principled struggle, we strengthen our collective ability to create change, foster healing, and revitalize the path toward a more just and equitable world.​
The Freedom Bloc mission is to build Black leadership and political infrastructure in Black communities through civic education and engagement, leadership development and economic reinvestment.​​
​The Freedom Bloc organizes initiatives driven by community listening and collective power to demand change and advance justice. We amplify Black voices and cultivate spaces for meaningful dialogue and action, collaboratively building a supportive network for Black-led organizations.
The Freedom Roc's mission is to create systemic change that leads to a more equitable society by uplifting the voices of directly impacted Black people that allows us to build politically educated grassroots community political power.

The Freedom ROC is a 501(C)(3) and 501(C)(4) Black-Led innovative statewide organization that unites directly impacted people and communities to build a transformative base of power to achieve social, racial and economic justice in Ohio.

We are an organization that builds Black progressive community and political power through Healing-Informed Care, Voter Education, Voter Engagement and Leadership Development by organizing within communities around key issues and candidates.

BLOC University is the foundational program among the pillars of BLOC throughout Ohio. This six-week introductory program is for our members. It's designed to create groups and ongoing connections so you can learn together continuously and democratically.​
